The PowerX 2026 Learning Programme is a large national internship initiative by the Services SETA, aimed at placing 20,000 graduates into 24-month, structured, paid internships across South Africa. The programme helps bridge the gap between academic learning and real workplace exposure.
It aligns with the National Skills Development Plan (NSDP) 2030 and the Services SETA mandate.

Graduate Eligibility Criteria
To apply, graduates must:
- Have completed an NQF Level 4–7 qualification (TVET or university; all fields accepted)
- Be unemployed
- Be available for 24 months
- Agree to workplace matching based on national employer demand

Employer Requirements
Employers must:
- Be COIDA registered
- Provide proof of OHS-compliant workplace readiness
- Commit to hosting interns for 24 months
- Submit workplace site details

- Participate in monitoring processes

A. Employers
Documents requested after EOI submission:
- CIPC registration document
- SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN
- CSD summary report
- COIDA registration / Letter of Good Standing
- OHS compliance proof
- Workplace site list
- Physical address for each site
- ID of authorised representative
All sites undergo workplace approval before placements.
B. Graduates
- Certified ID copy
- Certified qualification or statement of results
- Updated CV
- Proof of residence
- Bank confirmation letter
Important Dates
- Applications Open: Active

- Matching & Placement: After documentation verification
- Internship Start Dates: Announced by PMU and host employers

Submission Process
- Select the Employer or Graduate EOI form.
- Complete the online form.
- Receive a confirmation with:
- Reference number
- Secure document upload link
- Document checklist
- Closing date reminder
- Upload documents before the deadline.
- Await PMU communication.
