Position Overview
Clicks Group is seeking a Branch Manager for its Unicare division in Somerset West, Western Cape. This leadership role focuses on managing both the Front Shop and Dispensary, driving operational efficiency, customer loyalty, and financial performance. The Branch Manager will report to the Head of Unicare.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive financial performance by achieving sales, turnover, and profitability targets.
- Manage daily branch operations efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Foster a customer-first culture to build loyalty and enhance brand perception.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal teams, suppliers, regulators, landlords, and local authorities.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Provide timely and accurate information for decision-making and risk mitigation.
- Manage financial, human, and other resources to achieve business objectives.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- Essential: B. Degree or Diploma in Retail / Finance Management or related field.
- Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
- Advanced Diploma or Master’s in Business Management, Retail Management, or Healthcare Management
Experience:
- Essential:
- 5–8 years in a management and leadership role in Pharmacy operations
- 5 years in budgeting, financial, and cost management
- 3–5 years managing retail operations, customer service, and diverse teams
- Desirable:
- 5 years managing multi-site or regional retail operations
- 4–5 years in pharmacy-specific management, including clinic and healthcare services oversight
Job Knowledge:

- Pharmacy laws, health regulations, and compliance
- Retail pharmacy processes, service delivery, and product merchandising
