Position Overview

Clicks Group is seeking a Front Shop Manager to lead the 24-hour front shop business at Unicare Somerset West. This role focuses on retail and service excellence, team leadership, profitability, and operational efficiency, ensuring a competitive advantage for the brand.


Job Purpose

  • Lead and manage the front shop to achieve sales, profitability, and compliance targets.
  • Deliver operational efficiency and exceptional customer service in line with company strategy and regulatory requirements.

Key Objectives

  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales and profitability targets through merchandising, pricing, and promotional plans.
  • Manage stock availability and minimize shrinkage via accurate stock control.
  • Drive exceptional customer service to enhance customer experience and financial performance.
  • Manage the front shop budget and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in line with health, safety, and merchandising regulations.
  • Monitor service trends and customer feedback to implement improvements.
  • Develop a high-performing, engaged team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support operations.
  • Provide accurate information for decision-making and risk mitigation.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Essential: 3-year Diploma or Degree in Retail Management, Business Management, or equivalent
  • Desirable: Certificate/Diploma in Customer Service or Sales & Marketing, Postgraduate Diploma or Degree in Retail or Business Management

Experience:

  • Essential:
    • 5 years in retail operations
    • 3 years in supervisory/management roles in large retail settings
    • 3 years managing staff, stock control, and sales targets
    • 2 years managing day-to-day store operations, rostering, and workflow
    • 2 years in budgeting, resource planning, and cost control
  • Desirable:
    • Exposure to revenue generation, pricing, and financial reporting
    • Experience with customer satisfaction initiatives
