Job Overview
Exxaro Resources is seeking a qualified and experienced Millwright to join its Leeuwpan Coal operations in Delmas, Mpumalanga. This permanent role involves maintaining, repairing, and managing critical mining infrastructure and equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Grade 12 / Standard 10 (Technical)
- N3 Engineering qualification (relevant field)
- Trade Test: Millwright (MQA/QCTO)
- 2–3 years’ technical maintenance experience in heavy industry, mining, production, or pyro-metallurgical environments
- Valid Code B driver’s licence
- Competency in Medium Voltage Switching
- Completion of Core and On-the-Job MQA Module Assessments
- Proficiency in programming circuits, panels, PLCs, and related equipment
- Certificate of Fitness (to be conducted by Exxaro)
- Psychometric assessment (to be conducted by Exxaro)
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, MHSA, and all applicable safety regulations
- Perform planned maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mining equipment
- Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs, circuits, and control panels
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment faults
- Operate and manage medium to high voltage switchgear safely
- Inspect tools, vehicles, and equipment to ensure safety compliance
- Report and correct defects or hazardous conditions promptly
- Coach and mentor trainees and artisan aides
- Plan and secure required parts and tools to prevent operational delays
- Promote a safe working environment and good housekeeping practices
