Job Overview
Exxaro Resources is seeking a Specialist, Logistics Commercial to join its Corporate Centre in Centurion. This permanent role focuses on managing and optimising logistics contracts across multiple commodities while ensuring regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and strong supplier performance.
The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, analytical thinking, and an innovative mindset to drive continuous improvement within Exxaro’s logistics and supply chain operations.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, or contract management
- Certificate in First Line Management (Advantageous)
- Strong analytical and commercial drafting skills
- Experience negotiating and managing logistics contracts
- Ability to manage vendor performance and supplier relationships
- Understanding of logistics regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience in financial evaluation of tenders and procurement savings
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Psychometric Assessment (conducted by Exxaro)
- Certificate of Fitness (conducted by Exxaro)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise logistics contracts to ensure cost efficiency and compliance
- Draft, negotiate, and finalise commercial agreements with suppliers
- Coordinate and evaluate tender processes, including financial assessments
- Monitor supplier performance and contractual compliance
- Build strong supplier relationships to drive innovation and service excellence
- Conduct monthly reporting and performance analysis
- Ensure adherence to internal governance and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with internal teams on supplier development strategies
- Identify procurement savings and implement best practices
- Maintain accurate contract records and renewal schedules
