Role Overview
CCBSA is seeking a qualified and experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join the Cold Drinks Equipment (CDE) department based in Benrose, Gauteng. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of fountain and hot beverage equipment to ensure high-quality standards and exceptional customer service.
Key Purpose of the Role
To provide technical support and services to the Equipment Services Division and related stakeholders through the installation, maintenance, and repair of fountain and coffee equipment, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and customer service standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Equipment Installation & Maintenance
- Install and remove fountain and hot beverage equipment
- Service, repair, and maintain equipment to operational standards
- Test equipment before final assembly
- Calibrate equipment to meet quality requirements
- Resolve situational and technical problems efficiently
Daily Operational Activities
- Ensure customer satisfaction through effective installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs
- Manage spare parts and apply strong hand-eye coordination
- Apply advanced assembly and conceptual skills
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and SHEQ systems
- Maintain safety, health, and environmental standards
- Manage personal development and performance
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Matric or N3 (Refrigeration / Electrical)
- Registered Trade Test – Refrigeration
- Minimum 2 years’ field experience in refrigeration, vending, or fountain equipment
- Experience with maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration equipment
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence (currently driving)
- Code 10 driver’s licence (advantageous)
Other Requirements
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Clear criminal and credit record
- Strong technical knowledge
