Programme Overview
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is offering an In-Service Trainee Quality Assurance opportunity within its Manufacturing department at the Lakeside plant. This programme is designed for students who require practical workplace exposure to complete their tertiary qualification. The successful candidate will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and gain hands-on experience in quality testing, reporting, and compliance within a FMCG manufacturing environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Output
- Conduct quality and compliance tests on products and packaging.
- Compile accurate quality reports and maintain audit-ready records.
- Communicate out-of-specification results to ensure product quality is maintained.
- Support cost minimisation through quality assurance controls.
Knowledge
- Understanding of microbiology, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, and mathematics related to the food industry.
- Knowledge of laboratory policies, procedures, and best practices.

Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications / Experience
- Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy (minimum 40%)
- Two South African languages passed with a minimum of 40%
- Currently studying towards Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, or a related qualification
- Theoretical modules completed and requires practical In-Service Training
- Must not have previously completed an In-Service Trainee programme

- South African citizen
- Employment Equity candidate
- Unemployed at the time of appointment
- Aged between 18 – 35 years
- Must provide an official letter from the tertiary institution confirming the requirement for workplace experience
