You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing OHS risk strategies to ensure a safe, compliant, and well-regulated working environment across the Boxer Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>National Diploma or 3-year Degree in Safety \/ Occupational Health &amp; Safety.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Environmental certificate (advantage).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3\u20135 years OHS experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong understanding of OHS Act, SANS regulations, Water &amp; Pollution Act, and Environmental Act.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficient in Excel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Design &amp; Implementation<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop and implement new OHS risk policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>External Relationship Management<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Liaise with Department of Labour, Fire Department, Health Department, and other external bodies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide OHS reports and documentation as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Risk Identification &amp; Evaluation<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify and assess risks in line with legal and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct on-site inspections, complete checklists, gather evidence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investigate incidents when needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay up to date with new regulations and legislative changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Compliance &amp; Risk Control<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain and update the OHS risk register weekly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure contractors have valid letters of good standing before work begins.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Document findings, submit recommendations, obtain management responses, and follow up on implementation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report on risks and liaise with relevant internal and external departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Teamwork &amp; Leadership<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide training and hands-on guidance to new OHS staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage workflow, prioritise tasks, and navigate obstacles effectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Share insights, debate issues constructively, and work collaboratively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate strong mentoring, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Apply Here<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/boxer.erecruit.co\/candidateapp\/Login\">Click to Apply<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Location: Muldersdrift, GautengJob Type: PermanentClosing Date: 26 December 2025Department: OHS \u2013 Food Safety Audit RiskReference: BOX251124-1 About the Role Boxer is seeking a skilled and proactive OHS Officer to join the team at the Muldersdrift Distribution Centre.
