Absa is committed to empowering Africa\u2019s tomorrow through responsible growth and sound risk management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job Summary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Credit Manager \u2013 Commercial and Agriculture is responsible for managing the <strong>credit function across Commercial, Agriculture, Commercial Asset Finance (CAF), and Commercial Property Finance (CPF)<\/strong> portfolios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The role focuses on lending activities within the <strong>Growth, Premium, and High-Value Relationship Banking segments<\/strong>, with responsibility for a specific regional portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Credit Risk Management<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Implement credit risk management frameworks and risk appetite strategies aligned to portfolio requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct high-quality credit assessments and make responsible risk decisions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Portfolio Performance &amp; Analysis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monitor and analyse credit portfolio performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify emerging risks, trends, and opportunities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommend and implement risk adjustments where required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stakeholder Engagement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support Relationship Banking teams with credit expertise<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Governance &amp; Compliance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal Absa policies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain high standards of credit governance and documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Education<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree or Advanced Diploma in <strong>Business, Commerce, or Management Studies<\/strong> (Required)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Experience &amp; Skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong experience in commercial and agricultural credit risk management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sound understanding of lending products across CAF and CPF portfolios<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to analyse complex financial information and credit structures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong stakeholder management and decision-making skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employment Equity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Absa Bank Limited is an <strong>equal opportunity and affirmative action employer<\/strong>.
