The role bridges Risk, Finance, and Technology, focusing on automation, infrastructure, cloud adoption, and DevOps practices to enable high-quality, future-ready solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Focus Areas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QRM Platform Maintenance &amp; Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain uptime, accuracy, and performance of the QRM platform.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement configuration changes, scenario updates, and model adjustments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor job schedules, workflows, and troubleshoot data feed issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support regulatory and internal risk reporting cycles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Automation &amp; Infrastructure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Build and maintain automation, deployments, and infrastructure for QRM environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure security, access controls, and compliance standards are consistently met.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Collaboration &amp; Stakeholder Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Partner with Risk, Treasury, Finance, and Engineering teams to deliver solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to documentation, standards, and best practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage with vendors for QRM upgrades, patches, and support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Performance &amp; Optimization<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct root-cause analysis, stability improvements, and performance tuning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify opportunities to automate, optimise, and strengthen system stability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Core Technical Skills (Non-Negotiables)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cloud (AWS):<\/strong> EC2, Lambda, IAM, DynamoDB, ECS, SNS, EventBridge<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>DevOps \/ Infrastructure:<\/strong> CI\/CD pipelines (ADO preferred), Docker, Terraform, networking, SMB share management, Windows Server 2019\u20132025, MS SQL Server 2019\u20132025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scripting &amp; Automation:<\/strong> Python, PowerShell<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>QRM Knowledge:<\/strong> Metadata maintenance, import\/export processes, ALM, Liquidity, IRRBB, FTP, Balance Sheet modelling (advantageous), vendor interactions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3\u20137 years in engineering, DevOps, or cloud roles, preferably supporting complex financial systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prior exposure to QRM, Treasury, or Risk systems is a strong advantage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven ability to work across technical and business teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Soft Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong analytical thinker with excellent troubleshooting instincts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>End-to-end ownership of problems and solutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborative, articulate, and confident in stakeholder engagement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continuous improvement mindset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Employment Equity<\/strong><br>Absa Bank Limited is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
