The role serves as a bridge between U.S. Corporates and Absa\u2019s local in-country teams to develop business opportunities across multiple sectors including Energy, Agriculture, Healthcare, and Diversified industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Focus Areas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Client Relationship Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate and institutional clients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as primary point of contact, offering personalized financial solutions and advisory services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide guidance and support to U.S. Corporates on African business opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Business Development &amp; Market Insights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct in-depth market, industry, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and risks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive expansion of Absa Group\u2019s presence in local markets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and execute sector-specific strategies aligned with African market dynamics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize and support franchise roadshows and trips to the U.S.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Transaction &amp; Credit Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assess creditworthiness and structure credit facilities in collaboration with risk management teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Execute corporate and investment banking transactions for U.S.-based operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage client risk while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sector Expertise &amp; Advisory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide insights on the Energy, Agriculture, Healthcare, and Diversified sectors within Africa.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop thought leadership for internal stakeholders and clients regarding African market dynamics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deliver specialized solutions in project finance, trade finance, foreign exchange, and cash management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Travel &amp; Work Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Domestic and international travel: approximately 35% of the time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eligible to work remotely up to 2 days per week<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree (3- or 4-year) in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum 7 years in corporate and investment banking or related roles (Business Development Manager, Sector Head, Business Manager)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least 3 years providing banking coverage across Africa, specializing in Energy and Oil &amp;
