The role involves adopting strategies, negotiating with customers, and ensuring accounts are brought back to order while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Focus Areas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Business Management (40%)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Meet daily productivity targets for calls, promises to pay (PTP), and kept promises (KPs).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use collection scripts and tools to verify client identity and negotiate repayment agreements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor allocated accounts daily and take appropriate actions within policy guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommend accounts for forbearance within predetermined parameters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Escalate unresolved cases to the Team Leader.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Update systems to reflect outcomes of customer negotiations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Customer Obsession (30%)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Serve as the first point of contact for customer complaints; escalate when necessary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain professionalism to ensure customer retention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Address customer needs effectively while minimizing risk to the bank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply world-class customer service standards in all interactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Teamwork (10%)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collaborate with business networks to offer alternative solutions for customers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in team initiatives and local events to enhance skills and community presence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Align personal performance objectives with line manager expectations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Controls (30%)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adhere to service level agreements, policies, and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain accurate records of collection actions with timely follow-ups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deliver operational excellence, meeting quality, cost, and service standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical Skills &amp; Competencies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Analytical and numerical skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communication (written and verbal)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interpersonal and negotiation skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planning and organization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Problem-solving and service excellence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customer handling techniques<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spreadsheets and database management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies (Required)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prior experience dealing with customers and in a lending environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of lending principles, credit risk assessment, and retail banking products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer literacy with ability to quickly learn new software\/applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Employment Equity<\/strong><br>Absa Bank Limited is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
