The role focuses on curriculum development, skills transfer, compliance, and customer satisfaction while ensuring learners gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on technical competence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This position is <strong>based in Burgersfort<\/strong> and requires flexibility to travel and work varied hours when required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Learning Design &amp; Development<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop learning curricula, materials, and training programmes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct job, task, performance, and critical incident analysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Define learning objectives, outcomes, and unit standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design lesson plans, learning modules, assessments, and learner guides<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop skill hierarchies, pre-tests, and competency-based assessments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review, update, and improve learning materials continuously<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Training Delivery &amp; Skills Transfer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare training environments, learners, and learning aids<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct pre-assessments and identify skills gaps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate classroom and hands-on technical training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assess learner competence and provide structured feedback<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deliver practical training on underground mining equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Legal Compliance &amp; SHEQ<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify SHEQ risks and implement corrective actions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure safe training environments and PPE compliance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain assessment records, lesson plans, and control documents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report incidents and accidents according to procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Issue certificates to competent learners and maintain records<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Customer &amp; Stakeholder Engagement<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Communicate training schedules (internal &amp; external)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct training needs analysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gather and act on learner and client feedback<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide improvement feedback reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaise with internal service departments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relevant Trade Certificate (with apprenticeship contract or PoE)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certificate of Competence in ETDP or Adult Education Facilitation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven competence in course design and development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience as a technician or specialist on Sandvik products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic computer literacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>English proficiency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s licence and own transport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to travel and work flexible hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Advantageous:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mechatronics certification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of i-Series equipment (SICA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical Experience Required<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assessment of technical competence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintenance of underground drills and loaders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mechanical systems: gearboxes, compressors, pumps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Low-profile equipment fault finding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Service and repair of rock drills, pneumatics, electrical, and hydraulic systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employment Equity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sandvik is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building an inclusive, fair, and diverse workplace.
