The role focuses on developing new products, improving existing designs, and translating research into practical, market-ready engineering solutions within the mining and construction industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purpose of the Role<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discover and develop new product ideas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve and extend existing products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Translate research into functional, marketable solutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support revenue growth and market share expansion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Product Development &amp; Design<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Evaluate and develop new product concepts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design, validate, and launch new products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop product specifications, testing plans, and validation processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform engineering calculations and structural integrity analyses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct FEA, dynamic simulations, and test measurements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) are accurate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Engineering &amp; Technical Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use CAD\/CAE tools (Siemens NX, Teamcenter) for 3D modelling and drawings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support manufacturing with design-for-manufacture best practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide advanced technical support and pre-sales input<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct on-site customer visits and measurements when required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Collaboration &amp; Continuous Improvement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work with manufacturing teams, designers, and product specialists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop in-house technical standards and training materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve engineering processes and product optimisation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Share R&amp;D resources across teams when required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>BEng in Mechanical Engineering (Required)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MEng in Mechanical Engineering (Advantageous)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Experience &amp;
