Because credit evaluation is the starting point of every loan, this role is a direct driver of revenue, portfolio quality, and long-term sustainability. You will ensure responsible lending practices are upheld while maintaining efficient turnaround times to support business growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What You\u2019ll Do<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assess and evaluate incoming credit applications in line with credit policy and risk appetite.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct affordability and risk assessments using supporting documentation like bank statements and financial data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify the completeness and accuracy of application documentation, ensuring compliance and audit-ready records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaise with Sales teams to handle queries, follow up on missing information, and communicate credit decisions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify risk trends and contribute to the continuous improvement, automation, and digitization of credit evaluation processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Matric (Grade 12) \u2013 <strong>Essential<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Risk, or a related field \u2013 <strong>Advantageous<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2\u20134 years of experience in credit evaluation, underwriting, or credit risk analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven experience analyzing bank statements and performing affordability assessments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Skills &amp; Competencies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong analytical, numerical, and structured thinking abilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High attention to detail with sound judgement and decision-making capability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to manage high application volumes and work independently under pressure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency with credit evaluation systems or loan management platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, including FICA, POPIA, and responsible lending principles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High integrity and strong ethical standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lesakatech.simplify.hr\/Vacancy\/Apply\/qwwjmf\">Apply here<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lesaka Technologies is hiring a Credit Evaluation Specialist to join their Capital Connect \u2013 Credit department.
