Who Can Apply?
You may apply for the Nedbank External Bursary Programme if you:

Important Note
Applicants who completed Grade 12 with Mathematics Literacy do not qualify.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the bursary, applicants must have:
Academic Requirements
- Minimum average of 65% in subjects aligned to the qualification they plan to study
University Admission
- Admission to a South African public university or university of technology
Financial Requirements
- Proof of financial need
- Consent from a legal parent or guardian

Documents Required
Applicants must prepare the following documents:
Identification & Academic Records
- Certified copy of South African ID
- Grade 11 final results and current mid-year results (Grade 12 learners)
- Grade 12 final results and current mid-year results (First-year students)
- Previous academic year results and current mid-year results (Second and third-year students)
Financial Documents
- Completed Financial Check Affidavit signed by parents/guardians
- Latest 3 months’ bank statements
Household Supporting Documents
Parents, guardians, and income-earning household members must provide:
- Certified copies of IDs
- Latest payslips and employment letters
- Proof of income
- Home loan or municipal rates statements (where applicable)
- IRP5, IT3, and IT12 forms for commission earners
- Pension slips or grant statements if applicable
- Latest 3 months’ bank statements
