1. Accounting (CA Stream – SAICA)

This programme is designed for future Chartered Accountants. It feeds into a three-year internship where you will rotate through the business to master technical SAICA learning outcomes.
- Qualifications: BCom Accounting or BAcc (CA stream) degree.
- Requirements: 65%+ Aggregate; 2nd, 3rd, 4th year, or PGDA/CTA.
- Benefit: Direct entry into the Shoprite SAICA Trainee Accountant Programme with mentorship from the management team.
2. Agricultural Sciences
Available Slots: 10
Join the Freshmark team, the Group’s specialized fruit and vegetable procurement and distribution arm.
- Qualifications: Horticulture, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, AgriBusiness, or any Agriculture degree focused on Crop or Plant Production.
- Requirements: 60%+ Aggregate; 2nd, 3rd, or 4th academic year.
- Benefit: Funding to become a specialist in the largest distributor of grocery products in Africa.
3. Supply Chain & Logistics
Available Slots: 10
Help drive the leading fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) engine on the continent.
- Qualifications: BCom Logistics/Supply Chain, BSc Operational Research, or Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Logistics Management.
- Requirements: 60%+ Aggregate; 2nd, 3rd, or 4th academic year.
- Benefit: Funding for future specialists to join the core distribution and logistics activities of the Group.
4. Retail Business Management

This is Shoprite’s largest intake, aimed at students who want to follow an exciting management career path in retail operations.
- Qualifications: Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Retail Business Management.
- Requirements: 60%+ Aggregate; 2nd, 3rd, or 4th academic year.
- Benefit: A guaranteed career as a Trainee Retail Manager upon the successful completion of your course.
General Eligibility & Requirements
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
- Age: 27 years old and younger.
- Closing Date: 31 May 2026.
- Location: Nationwide (Head office activities based in Brackenfell, Western Cape).
- Commitment: Candidates must be prepared to join the Shoprite Finance, Freshmark, or Retail teams after completing their studies.
