Role Purpose
Boxer Superstores is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Health & Beauty Buyer to lead and grow the Health & Beauty category nationally. The role focuses on driving sales, profitability, supplier relationships, and category innovation within a fast-paced retail environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ current buying experience in the Health & Beauty category (retail/FMCG/wholesale)
- Relevant 3-year degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, or Marketing (advantageous)
- Strong commercial acumen with solid understanding of pricing, promotions, and category performance
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills
- SAP experience (advantageous)
- Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Strong attention to detail with good administrative follow-through
Key Responsibilities
- Lead national and regional supplier negotiations and trade meetings
- Manage trading terms, promotional cycles, and deal structures
- Deliver sales, gross profit, and profitability targets for the category
- Drive promotional campaigns and advertising initiatives
- Manage stock levels across stores and distribution centres
- Oversee product ranging, planograms, and category assortment
- Collaborate with demand planning and operations teams to ensure store execution
- Drive category innovation aligned with new-generation store formats
- Maintain accurate reporting, administration, and master data
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
