1) Category Controller

Purpose of the Role
To provide administrative and operational support to the Purchasing Manager and Category Manager, including reporting, basic replenishment buying, and maintaining accurate day-to-day system data.
Key Responsibilities
Category & System Administration
- List and maintain products on AS400 (correct vendor packs, pricing, quantities)
- Ensure system data integrity
- Monitor out-of-stocks and discontinued items
- Capture additional demand products
Stock & Supplier Management
- Follow up on supplier orders and delivery bookings
- Verify supplier invoices against system pricing
- Return slow-moving or non-selling stock
- Monitor stock levels and stock age
- Sell overstocked items and ad hoc SKUs
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual marketing reports
- Coordinate meetings, venues, and catering
- Support marketing communication to retailers and suppliers
- Assist at SPAR marketing events and trade shows
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Mathematics Higher Grade)
- Marketing or Purchasing Diploma/Degree
- Strong numeracy and administrative skills
- High attention to detail
- Knowledge of SPAR creditors system (advantageous)
- Receiving or creditors experience (advantageous)
2) Accounts Receivable Manager

Purpose of the Role
To assist the Senior Accounts Receivable Manager in managing the division’s credit control and receivables processes.
Key Responsibilities
Credit & Collections Management
- Legal collection and handover of overdue accounts
- Manage credit approvals and credit reviews
- Manage credit limits and outstanding claims
Compliance & Risk Control
- Ensure compliance with Credit Policy
- Apply relevant legislation (National Credit Act, FIC Act, Companies Act, Insolvency Law)
- Conduct weekly audit checks
Reporting & Leadership
- Weekly reporting to executives
- Manage staff and ensure effective interdepartmental relationships
- Analyse feasibility studies and financing applications
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum 3 years’ credit management experience in FMCG
- Experience with legal collections
- Advanced Excel (SAP and AS400 advantageous)
- Strong analytical, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure
