Role Purpose
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, and strengthening customer relationships to drive revenue growth.
You will play a key role in positioning Sandvik as a preferred supplier while ensuring excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales and business development plans
- Drive revenue growth and increase market share
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients
- Identify new business opportunities and manage sales pipelines
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and performance reports
- Support tender processes, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities
- Provide product training to sales and service teams
- Ensure alignment with global and regional strategies
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
- National Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Business Management (NQF 6)
- Minimum 5 years’ sales experience
- Experience in business development within the mining industry
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in English
- Willingness to travel
