1. Grants Coordinator

The Grants Management Team processes country applications, translates them into legal agreements, and ensures financial data accuracy. Grants Coordinators (GCs) serve as the operational backbone, acting as the direct interface between the Grants Management Department and Country Teams.

  • Reporting to: Senior Manager, Grants Operations, Optimisation and Performance

About the Role Grants Coordinators execute core tasks across the grant life cycle. They ensure contracts are processed accurately, data in systems like SAP and Salesforce is maintained, and deadlines are met. This role is highly adaptive, providing support where needed to enable compliance and impact for global health partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Grant Making: Prepare agreements and facilitate partner selection from application through to finalization.
  • Implementation: Track financial milestones, process disbursements, and manage budget transfers.
  • Closure: Complete documentation for audit compliance and process final disbursements.
  • Operational Excellence: Use systems like SAP, Zycus, and Salesforce to track data and flag process inefficiencies.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years in fast-paced environments with complex systems (SAP/ERP experience required).
  • Education: University degree in Business, Public Health, International Relations, or Economics.
  • Languages: Fluency in English and French is required.

2. Senior Manager, HR Services

This leadership role is accountable for the entire employee lifecycle—from onboarding to exit—for approximately 450 staff members. The focus is on operational excellence, data integrity, and a customer-centric employee experience.

  • Supervises: 2 Team Members

About the Role You will lead the HR Services team to deliver high-quality payroll and benefits administration. You will act as the primary escalation point for sensitive employee requests and be responsible for simplifying HR processes through clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

What You’ll Do

  • Service Delivery: Oversee onboarding, contract changes, and offboarding with a focus on speed and quality.
  • Data & Reporting: Own HR data standards and produce dashboards for HR leadership.
  • Vendor Management: Manage the performance of external payroll and benefits providers.
  • Process Improvement: Diagnose inefficiencies and design streamlined workflows.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7–10 years in HR, with at least 5 years in HR operations/service delivery.
  • Education: University degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: High digital proficiency (Excel, HRIS, Power BI).
  • Languages: Fluent English required; French is an asset.

3. Senior Manager, Strategy Design & Delivery

Working within the Strategy, Policy & Foresight Department, this role acts as a “strategic compass,” helping Gavi navigate the complex global health ecosystem and prepare for its next five-year strategy (Gavi 6.0).

About the Role The core objective is to design and deliver high-impact programmatic initiatives. You will develop evidence-based recommendations for senior decision-makers (CEO and Board) and translate complex strategies into practical implementation plans.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategy Development: Lead robust evidence-gathering to inform Gavi’s long-term value proposition.
  • Executive Communication: Create decision memos and presentations for the Board and Leadership Team.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Facilitate engagement across the Alliance and global health ecosystem.
  • Change Leadership: Operationalize new priorities and embed sustainable new ways of working.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8–12 years total, including:
    • 3 years in programmatic strategy/policy design.
    • 2 years in a leading management consulting firm.
    • 2 years in global health/development.
  • Education: Advanced degree (Master’s/MBA) in Public Health, Economics, or International Development.
  • Languages: Fluent English; French is desirable.
