Role Purpose

  • Supervise and manage the account opening function and KYC (Know Your Customer) refresh processes.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, data quality, compliance with bank policies, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead, guide, and develop the team to consistently achieve targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervision & Coordination

  • Manage day-to-day operations of centralized account opening and back-office activities.
  • Ensure alignment between back and front office regarding account opening and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure quality control on data entry and KYC refresh.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Challenge and verify QA findings with team members.
  • Conduct sampling checks of data and KYC refresh against set standards.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, governance, and compliance requirements.

3. Target & Performance Management

  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly achievement vs target ratios.
  • Drive results through execution of SOPs and initiatives to maintain high team performance.
  • Report accurately to management and stakeholders on all operational metrics.

4. Risk Management

  • Identify risks associated with account opening processes.
  • Ensure timely reporting and mitigation of risks.
  • Maintain a controlled, compliant working environment.

5. Team Development

  • Coach, mentor, and manage team to achieve optimal performance.
  • Develop initiatives to sustain a high-performing team culture.

Education & Qualifications

  • Required: Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in:
    • Business
    • Commerce
    • Management Studies
