Position Overview
The Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant is responsible for delivering pharmaceutical care services within the scope of practice while performing day-to-day dispensary administration according to Clicks Group’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The role focuses on providing high-quality customer service, accurate dispensing, and effective stock management.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of customer service and pharmaceutical care
- Manage stock control and dispensary administration, including repacking medicines
- Perform accurate compounding
- Provide general health advice to customers
- Ensure cleanliness and proper merchandise display
- Perform ad hoc tasks as required by operational needs
Minimum Requirements
Academic & Professional Qualifications:
- Matric with Mathematics (essential)
- Meet Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) requirements for Pharmacist Assistant (Qualified, Post Basic, or Learner Basic)
Skills & Knowledge:
- Product knowledge (Health aisle and OTC medicines)
- Understanding of SAPC regulations and legal requirements
- Customer service orientation
- Teamwork, integrity, and ethical working practices
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic calculations
- IT Business Operating Systems and MS Office proficiency
