Position Overview
Clicks Group is seeking a Pharmacist Assistant QPB – Through The Night for the Unicare 24 Hour Pharmacy in Somerset West, Western Cape. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service while performing dispensary duties, handling medication queries, and maintaining high standards of administration and stock control. The role reports to the Dispensary Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact professionally with customers, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to SOPs.
- Dispense prescriptions and manage all associated procedures accurately.
- Maintain patient profiles and follow up on queries.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and medical aid teams for chronic authorizations.
- Handle queries regarding prescriptions and healthcare services via phone or in person.
- Ensure efficient stock control, repacking of medicine, and dispensary administration.
- Provide general health advice and accurate compounding.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and merchandise display.
- Perform ad hoc operational tasks as required.

Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year in the role of Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic
- Retail experience
Education:
- Further Education and Training Certificate in Pharmacist Assistance (Essential)
- Valid registration with SAPC
Working Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (as per roster)
