Job Summary
The QRM Engineer is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the QRM platform to ensure stability, scalability, and performance. The role bridges Risk, Finance, and Technology, focusing on automation, infrastructure, cloud adoption, and DevOps practices to enable high-quality, future-ready solutions.
Key Focus Areas
QRM Platform Maintenance & Support
- Maintain uptime, accuracy, and performance of the QRM platform.
- Implement configuration changes, scenario updates, and model adjustments.
- Monitor job schedules, workflows, and troubleshoot data feed issues.
- Support regulatory and internal risk reporting cycles.
Automation & Infrastructure
- Build and maintain automation, deployments, and infrastructure for QRM environments.
- Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Ensure security, access controls, and compliance standards are consistently met.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Risk, Treasury, Finance, and Engineering teams to deliver solutions.
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and best practices.
- Engage with vendors for QRM upgrades, patches, and support.
Performance & Optimization
- Conduct root-cause analysis, stability improvements, and performance tuning.
- Identify opportunities to automate, optimise, and strengthen system stability.
Core Technical Skills (Non-Negotiables)
- Cloud (AWS): EC2, Lambda, IAM, DynamoDB, ECS, SNS, EventBridge
- DevOps / Infrastructure: CI/CD pipelines (ADO preferred), Docker, Terraform, networking, SMB share management, Windows Server 2019–2025, MS SQL Server 2019–2025
- Scripting & Automation: Python, PowerShell
- QRM Knowledge: Metadata maintenance, import/export processes, ALM, Liquidity, IRRBB, FTP, Balance Sheet modelling (advantageous), vendor interactions
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
Experience
- 3–7 years in engineering, DevOps, or cloud roles, preferably supporting complex financial systems
- Prior exposure to QRM, Treasury, or Risk systems is a strong advantage
- Proven ability to work across technical and business teams

- Strong analytical thinker with excellent troubleshooting instincts

- Collaborative, articulate, and confident in stakeholder engagement
