Programme Overview

The Old Mutual Senior Client Liaison Officer role is designed for experienced professionals in asset management who excel in client service, investment administration, and stakeholder engagement. This position focuses on managing relationships with institutional and unit trust clients, overseeing investment administration processes, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. The role provides exposure to asset management operations, regulatory compliance, and financial services administration within a leading African investment group.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for 3rd party institutional and unit trust clients
  • Review Investment Management Agreements (IMAs) and mandates for reporting requirements
  • Set up new clients and products from initiation to completion
  • Review and distribute client and regulatory reports (daily, monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Maintain accurate client information in the Client Reporting System
  • Ensure adherence to daily control procedures
  • Investigate and resolve cash, scrip, and trade settlement issues
  • Coordinate contributions, withdrawals, and outsourced administration processes
  • Assist with AML/KYC documentation and broker/custodian requests
  • Support fee recovery and provide cash forecasts to trading teams
  • Identify inefficiencies and drive process automation
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure excellent client service

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Investments, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the asset management industry
  • In-depth understanding of client mandates, custody, and investment administration
