Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in:
    • Accounting
    • Risk Management
    • Auditing
    • Or related fields

Professional Certifications

Postgraduate qualifications or certifications such as:

  • CRMA
  • CIA
  • CA(SA)
  • CISA

Professional Memberships

Affiliation with recognised professional bodies such as:

  • IRMSA
  • IIA
  • ISACA
  • SAICA
  • Or related professional organisations

Experience

  • 10 years or more leadership experience
  • Experience serving as Chairperson of Risk or Audit Committees in large public or private institutions

Knowledge & Competencies

Applicants should have extensive knowledge of:

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Oversight

Risk Management

  • Assist the Accounting Officer in executing risk management responsibilities
  • Ensure implementation of risk management frameworks and standards

Committee Responsibilities

  • Fulfil all duties outlined in the Compensation Fund Risk Committee Terms of Reference
  • Serve as a member of the Compensation Fund Audit Committee
  • Serve on the Department of Employment and Labour National Risk Management Committee
