About the Bursary
The Thapelo Madibeng Bursary Scheme 2026, administered by CETA, provides financial support to unemployed South African students pursuing qualifications in the built environment. The bursary seeks to:

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- South African citizen
- Unemployed
- Studying or intending to study a built-environment qualification
- Enrolled at a public institution of higher learning in South Africa
- Minimum academic average of 50%
- Household income below R600,000 per annum
Only applicants who meet all criteria will be considered.
Required Supporting Documents
Applicants must submit certified copies of:
- South African ID
- Matric certificate or statement of results (for first-year applicants)
- Latest tertiary academic record (for returning students)
- Proof of acceptance or registration from a public tertiary institution
- Parents’/guardians’ ID documents
- Parents’/guardians’ proof of income (payslips or affidavits)
- Signed affidavit confirming unemployment status
Incomplete or incorrect documentation may lead to disqualification.
