The South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) External Bursary Programme is designed for motivated South African students committed to academic excellence and the development of professional skills. This bursary contributes to national growth, innovation, and institutional capacity by supporting students in science, technology, quality, compliance, and regulatory-related fields.
SANAS emphasizes long-term development, aiming to strengthen technical competence, professional excellence, and South Africa’s institutional capacity.
Eligibility & Focus Areas
- Eligible Students: South African citizens across all provinces
- Study Fields Preferred: Science, Technology, Quality, Compliance, Regulatory-related disciplines
- Academic Standing: Preference given to students with strong academic performance
Bursary Coverage
- Tuition Fees Only
- National Diploma or Degree: Up to R50,000
- Honours or Postgraduate Diploma: Up to R70,000
Not Covered:
- Accommodation
- Transport
- Meals
- Prescribed textbooks
- Living or personal expenses
Applicants are advised to secure additional funding to cover non-tuition costs.
